Your First Visit · Montrose, Houston

A Warm Welcome Starts Here

Never been to a day spa before? Or maybe it’s been a while? No worries. We’ll walk you through everything, from checking in to choosing the right treatment. Here’s what to expect at your first visit, including answers to the questions you might be wondering but feel a little awkward asking.

The short version

Before You Arrive

A little prep makes a real difference.

Step By Step

What actually happens, in order.

01

You arrive and check in

Come in ten minutes before your appointment. You’ll be given a short intake form covering health history, any injuries or conditions, skin concerns and how much pressure you like.

02

A quick conversation

Your therapist will read the form, then ask a few follow-ups. This is the moment to say the thing you were going to be too polite to mention.

03

You're shown to the room

You’ll be left alone to undress to your own comfort level and get onto the table under the sheet. Your therapist knocks before coming back in.

04

The treatment

You stay covered throughout — only the area being worked on is uncovered. Pressure is checked early and you can adjust it at any point. Talking is entirely optional.

05

You come back to yourself

At the end you’re left to get dressed unhurried. Expect to feel a little spacey for a few minutes — that’s normal. Water helps.

06

Aftercare, not upselling

Your therapist will tell you what they found and what would help. If the honest answer is that you don’t need anything, that’s what you’ll hear.

Practicalities

What to wear, bring and expect.

What to wear

Whatever you’re comfortable in — you’ll change anyway. Loose clothing is easier to get back into afterwards, and skip heavy makeup if you’re booked for a facial.

COMFORT OVER OCCASION

What to bring

Just yourself and a payment method. If you’re on prescription skin medication or have a long medical history, bring the details rather than trying to recall them.

LEAVE VALUABLES AT HOME

How long to allow

Add roughly twenty minutes to your treatment time for intake, changing and not rushing out. A 60-minute massage is realistically an hour and a half of your day.

DON’T SCHEDULE TIGHT

Where To Start

Not sure what to book first?

The three we most often suggest to first-timers, depending on what brought you here.

You're carrying tension

Book a 60 or 90-minute massage and tell your therapist where it hurts. Ninety minutes is the better first booking if the problem is longstanding.

START WITH MASSAGE

Your skin isn't behaving

Book a signature facial rather than a peel. A first appointment is partly an assessment — your esthetician needs to see how your skin responds first.

START WITH A FACIAL

You just need a reset

Book the Spa Rave package — body scrub, fusion massage and signature facial across 2 hours 45 minutes.

Honest Answers

The questions people don't want to ask out loud.

Everyone wonders these. Asking them is completely normal and we would much rather you did.

No. You undress to your own comfort level. You are covered by a sheet for the entire treatment — only the area being worked on is uncovered, and it’s re-covered before your therapist moves on. If you’d rather stay fully clothed, say so and we’ll adapt.

You’re welcome to talk, or simply relax and enjoy the quiet. Some people love to chat throughout their treatment, while others prefer to completely switch off. Both are perfectly normal. There’s no pressure to make conversation, we’ll follow your lead.

It happens constantly and it’s the biggest compliment you can pay a therapist. Nobody will wake you unless they need you to turn over.

Tell us, immediately, at any point. “Lighter” or “a bit firmer” is all it takes. Lying there enduring pressure you don’t like is the single most common way people waste a massage — your therapist genuinely cannot tell without being told.

No. We do not notice and we do not care. For waxing it’s actually the opposite, hair needs enough length to be removed cleanly, so don’t shave beforehand.

No. We stock Circadia, SkinBetter Science and GlyMed+ because they need professional application, and your esthetician will tell you honestly if something would help. There’s no target to hit and no script at the desk.

Tips are never expected, but they’re always greatly appreciated. If you choose to leave a tip, 100% of it goes directly to your therapist/esthetician as a thank-you for their care. There’s absolutely no pressure.

Call or text 832-538-1218 as early as you can. Arriving late usually means a shorter treatment rather than a rescheduled one, since the next appointment is already booked. Full details are on our policies page.

Ready When You Are

Still have a question? Ask before you book.

Call or text 832-538-1218 and describe what’s going on. We’ll tell you what we’d book, including when the answer is a shorter or cheaper treatment than you expected.
